Cassidy Levy Kent (USA) LLP is pleased to welcome Deirdre Maloney as Senior International Trade Advisor, and Cassidy Levy Kent (Canada) LLP is similarly pleased to welcome Hugh Lee and Marc McLaren-Caux as International Trade Counsel.
Deirdre Maloney has more than 25 years of experience working on a broad variety of international trade regulation and policy issues, including antidumping, countervailing duty and safeguard proceedings, market access issues, customs matters, and export controls. Prior to joining Cassidy Levy Kent, Ms. Maloney worked in the international practices of two large U.S. law firms. She also previously served at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Inter-American Development Bank.
Hugh Lee represents domestic industries, importers and foreign exporters in Canadian trade remedy cases, as well as in matters relating to customs, export controls, and investor-state dispute settlements. He has also supported corporate clients in a number of U.S. trade remedy cases. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Lee was a consultant in a multinational consulting company.
Marc McLaren-Caux works on the full spectrum of trade matters, including assisting clients in judicial review proceedings of dumping determinations before the Federal Court of Appeal. Mr. McLaren-Caux clerked at the Federal Court (Canada) for the Honourable Justice Zinn. He completed his articles at a large national firm in Ottawa prior to his clerkship, where he focused primarily on federal regulatory law and litigation.
