Angelica Townshend is an International Trade Advisor in Cassidy Levy Kent’s Washington DC office. Ms. Townshend applies over 15 years of experience in antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings in assisting the firm’s attorneys and clients in trade remedy actions before the U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. International Trade Commission.
Ms. Townshend’s primary focus is on the complex analysis of economic data in antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings. She has been involved in a wide variety of trade proceedings, including agency investigations and administrative reviews, sunset and changed circumstances reviews, scope and anti-circumvention rulings, appeals to and remand redeterminations from the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit as well as binational panels established under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the implementation of Section 129 World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute settlement determinations. In her career as a government official and private sector advisor, Ms. Townshend has participated in cases spanning a diverse set of industries including the steel, utility, chemical, transportation and agricultural sectors.
Prior to joining Cassidy Levy Kent, Ms. Townshend worked as a supervisory international trade compliance analyst in the Enforcement and Compliance unit (formerly Import Administration) of the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she won a number of awards for outstanding service. Previous to that position, she worked closely with small business entrepreneurs in the construction industry in Florida and Texas.
Ms. Townshend received her B.B.A. of international business with a minor in economics from the University of Texas in San Antonio TX.
