Hugh Lee is an international trade counsel in Cassidy Levy Kent’s Ottawa office. Mr. Lee assists clients in trade remedy cases. In this role, he has represented domestic industries, importers and foreign exporters in Canadian trade remedy cases. He has also supported corporate clients in a number of U.S. trade remedy cases. Mr. Lee also assists clients in matters relating to customs, export controls, and investor-state dispute settlements.
Mr. Lee holds a J.D. from University of Ottawa (cum laude). Upon his graduation, he was awarded the Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP Prize for the two highest standings in the International Trade Regulation courses. Prior to the law school, Mr. Lee attended Trinity College of the University of Toronto, and received a Bachelor of Commerce (with distinction).
Before his legal career, Mr. Lee was a consultant in a multinational consulting company. In this role, he worked in a number of large public infrastructure projects, including Ontario’s Presto Farecard project and Wait Time Information System project.
Above all, Mr. Lee is a loving husband, a proud father, and a grateful son.
