Patrick Edwards is an International Trade Advisor in Cassidy Levy Kent’s Washington DC office. Mr. Edwards applies his 15 years of experience in antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings in assisting the firm’s attorneys and clients in trade remedy actions before the U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. International Trade Commission.
Mr. Edwards’ primary focus is on the complex analysis of economic data in antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings. Either as a government official or in the private sector, he has been involved in a wide variety of trade proceedings, including agency investigations and administrative reviews, sunset reviews, appeals to and remand proceedings from the U.S. Court of International Trade and binational panels established under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), suspension agreements, Section 201 safeguard proceedings, scope proceedings, and Customs protests. In his career Mr. Edwards has participated in cases spanning a diverse set of industries including the steel, lumber, chemical, and agricultural sectors.
Prior to joining Cassidy Levy Kent, Mr. Edwards worked as an international trade compliance specialist in the Enforcement and Compliance unit (formerly Import Administration) of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Previous to that position, he held posts in the commercial section of the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, Germany, as well as the Chamber of Commerce in Vienna, Austria.
Mr. Edwards received his B.S.B.A. of international business from American University in Washington DC, which included programs in international economics from Manchester University in England.
