Amy DeArmond

Director of Government Affairs / Washington

Amy DeArmond is the Director of Government Affairs in Cassidy Levy Kent’s Washington office. With more than a decade of public advocacy experience, Ms. DeArmond represents clients’ interests before Congress and the Executive Branch, assisting in development and advancement of policy initiatives.

Ms. DeArmond’s experience includes contacts with the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. International Trade Commission, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. She has also helped organize and create coalitions to advance public policy interests, most notably in developing a coalition strategy to secure passage of the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015. Ms. DeArmond’s experience also extends to securing favorable changes to federal and state tax laws.

Prior to joining Cassidy Levy Kent, Ms. DeArmond worked for a publicly-traded corporation providing government relations advice, overseeing international trade initiatives, and providing economic development oversight, among other matters.

Professional Affiliations

Ms. DeArmond previously served as the Government Relations Advisory Chair for the American Wire Producers Association, as a Board Member of the Missouri Partnership for economic development, and as a trustee for NAM-PAC.

She is currently a Vice President and Board Member for the United Way of Southwest Missouri and Southeast Kansas.

Recent Speaking Engagements

Ms. DeArmond has spoken to numerous industry groups on trade enforcement issues, and appeared on a variety of panels in support of policy positions with organizations including the National Association of Manufacturers. In 2023, she spoke to the American Wire Producers Association and led an off-the-record association discussion with the Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA.
