Carly Shiever

International Trade Specialist / Washington

Carly Shiever is an International Trade Specialist in Cassidy Levy Kent’s Washington office. Ms. Shiever assists attorneys and economists involved in trade remedy proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. International Trade Commission, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Court of International Trade, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Ms. Shiever attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she double-majored in International Relations and Asian Studies. While in school, she took courses in international politics, economics and trade, and Asian history. Ms. Shiever was recognized as a Fulbright Semi-Finalist for Japan for her research proposal on the human rights abuses of the North Korean Repatriation Project. She served on the Executive Committee responsible for planning the 72nd Japan-America Student Conference, spearheading a roundtable discussion on the intersection of gender inequality and changing labor demands. Ms. Shiever was also inducted into the Zeta Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa upon her graduation.
