Rebekah Chikuni

International Trade Specialist / Washington

Rebekah Chikuni is an International Trade Specialist at Cassidy Levy Kent’s Washington office. Ms. Chikuni assists attorneys and economists involved in trade remedy proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Court of International Trade, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Ms. Chikuni graduated magna cum laude from American University, where she earned her B.A. in International Studies with a thematic focus of Global Inequality and Development and a regional focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. As an Olson’s Scholar, Rebekah conducted a year-long discourse analysis on the language of development and how such language impacts current political and economic conditions in Central and East African countries. Along with her research, Rebekah has worked for the Council on Foreign Relations as an Education Intern, working on the development of the World 101 website. On the ground, Rebekah interacted closely with the European Union and participated in community-led economic and gender-focused programming while studying abroad in both Belgium and Kenya. Rebekah’s hands-on approach continued in Kenya, working with survivors of labor trafficking and researching transnational trafficking networks.
