Jacob Kopnick

Summer Associate / Washington

Jacob Kopnick is a Summer Associate in Cassidy Levy Kent’s Washington, D.C. office.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kopnick worked as a reporter at a prominent daily newspaper principally covering trade-related litigation at the U.S. Court of International Trade, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and various federal district and appellate courts. Mr. Kopnick’s news coverage spanned litigation involving tariff measures imposed under IEEPA and Sections 122, 232, and 301, to trade remedies and customs classification, valuation, and enforcement disputes. In this role, he also contributed to separate publications concerning topics such as global sanctions and export control regimes, IEEPA tariff refund mechanisms, and agency actions by the Commerce Department and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Mr. Kopnick is concurrently pursuing his J.D. at the Georgetown University Law Center, where he also serves as the Executive Trade Editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Law and as Co-President of the Georgetown International Economic Law Society.
