CLK Partners to Speak to Association of Corporate Counsel

March 03, 2021

On Thursday, March 4, 2021, Myles Getlan, Jack Levy, and Tom Beline will speak to the Western Pennsylvania chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel on “A Trade Policy in Transition.” The three will provide a historical overview of trade law and policy under President Trump and discuss whether those policy initiatives will continue, flourish, or be dismantled by President Biden. CLK’s Washington based trade specialists will discuss what the Biden administration will look like, addressing questions like:

  • Who wins the China trade war? How President Biden will address issues of human rights, intellectual property rights, and state-owned enterprises?
  • Tariffs no more?  Will President Biden look to roll back unilateral tariffs on steel, aluminum and other products?
  • New or old friends?  After a focus on renegotiating existing agreements, will the Biden administration pursue new market opening initiatives?
  • Is the WTO Dead?  Does it matter?
