Mark Penner is an International Trade Counsel in Cassidy Levy Kent’s Ottawa office. Mr. Penner holds a Juris Doctor with Distinction from the University of Western Ontario. Before law school, Mr. Penner graduated with honours from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and History, concentrating in Canadian politics and government.
In law school, Mr. Penner was involved in numerous extracurricular activities, including the Admissions Committee and the Christian Legal Fellowship. Mr. Penner also received the Law Society of Ontario prize and academic awards in competition law and tort law. As a law student, Mr. Penner worked as a research assistant for professors and think tanks. He also interned on Parliament Hill.
Before joining Cassidy Levy Kent, Mr. Penner was a judicial law clerk at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Supreme Court of Canada.
