Rachel McDonald is an International Trade Counsel in Cassidy Levy Kent’s Ottawa office. Ms. McDonald holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa. Prior to her legal studies, Ms. McDonald had a successful career as an accountant in both private and public accounting. Ms. McDonald holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation as well as an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in accounting from the University of Ottawa.
During law school, Ms. McDonald was involved in various clubs and societies, including acting as the Treasurer for the Women’s Legal Education & Action Fund (LEAF) Ottawa branch. Ms. McDonald was also a Legal Writing Leader with the University of Ottawa’s Legal Writing Academy, through which she mentored her peers in proper legal writing technique. Before joining Cassidy Levy Kent, Ms. McDonald articled with another leading Canadian law firm.
